Each day, Makati’s pedestrians traverse an average of 700 meters. Makati added art and flora to the route to make it more delightful, owing to the length of the walkways.

The freshly completed Paseo-de Roxas Villar underpass has Makati photographs as décor. Shell, RCBC, Security Bank, and Nestle are a few corporations that have created murals in CBD underpasses. Additionally, these paths have a variety of greenery and soft landscaping that aid in temperature regulation and improve the user experience.

Body and Environment-Friendly

Walking in cities are well-known for their environmental advantages. Moreover, a daily walk is the better choice in place of driving. According to a 2014 study, walking promotes decreased diabetes, heart disease, high blood sugar, and obesity. You may easily jog or sprint to some of the city’s top walking sites, such as Ayala Triangle Gardens, by taking advantage of protected pedestrian lanes or well-maintained concrete sidewalks with pocket gardens.

All-in-one Living, Learning, Playing And Working

Shopping malls, restaurants, entertainment venues, and educational institutions all need to be conveniently accessible to one another. Due to the city’s walkable layout, many real estate developers are receptive to delivering high-quality residential and commercial structures. Since 2015, it has been a popular location for condo investors due to its closeness to central commercial districts. Makati understands the critical nature of a well-developed CBD in determining success. On the other hand, Makati stresses the significance of economic activities across the city.

Making Every Step Count

The city intends to develop attractions outside its central business district for each stroll. This category includes both public transit hubs and large-scale urban initiatives.

The Special Precincts for Urban Redevelopment or SPUR were the 14 designated urban redevelopment regions. They are, however, near the Makati Central Business District, Special Mixed Use Zones, and other major thoroughfares.
