The layout of floor plans follows the orientation of the property to focus more on the efficiency of dining and retail activities. The intention was to maximize the rentable inventories as well as allowable parking slots as possible. Connecting the interior shops with open corridors for ventilation and sunlight leads to preserving the existing trees at a common courtyard to the rear. The natural ventilation that is provided in a community mall helps to keep monthly operational expenses in check. The open-air courtyard of this community malls is a great place to hold meetings as well. 

Areas surrounding the mall will also need to be planned out properly. The best design for this area will be something that allows people to drive right in and see what is available on the outside of your mall. As many people find parking very difficult when they have to drive to the community mall in order to purchase products, access to the parking needs to be easy for people to get into and out as well.
