With views of the pristine waters to the front and the bustling city of Zambales to its rear, The Fortress Subic Hotel is a luxurious 12-story 50 meters high tower designed with 84 elemental-themed rooms under fantasy kingdoms assigned to various levels namely Terra, Arbor, Aqua, Ventus, and Ignis. At the central atrium is a vertical medieval town that starts at the lobby and leads up to a rodeo and events pub on the topmost floor.
Unique architecture for a hotel design that celebrates the nostalgic authenticity of the Middle Ages with hints of fantasy and modernity. The concept of medieval design hotel dates back to the early origins of tourism, dating back to the ancient traditions of hospitality for travellers dating back to the era of kingdoms and castles. Although some lodging traditions have faded from memory, they are revisited in hotel design today, with a range of new hotel concepts springing up, such as the boutique and fantasy hotel concepts.
The immediate allure of The Fortress Subic Hotel, owned and operated by the New Nordic Group, is the grand staircase guarded by a giant dragon glass sculpture and a vertical town square at its central atrium running from the lobby winding all the way up to steak and bar place at the top floor called the Sky Tavern featuring rodeo rides with a mechanical bull, indoor gaming, showband performances, whiskey and cigar booths, and cozy dining areas. Crowning the development is a 725 sqm roof deck serving as a powerhouse for leisure and entertainment backed by an elevated music station, a sunken bar, a wide party pool complete with wet bars and lounge, outdoor showers, cabanas, dining area, and a fantastic view of the Olongapo City skyline. Bedrooms and lodging occupy eight out of the twelve floors with all units having open balconies and selected suites rewarded with outdoor jacuzzi baths.
