An architectural retreat where classic Mediterranean design meets local character.
Situated along the street of Hernan Cortes, this four-level mid-rise studio apartment building with 22 residential units and a communal roof deck will become transitional homes for the growing young professional populace of Cebu City.

The masterplan allocates just over half of the land to building footprint, with the remaining space devoted to landscaped gardens and expansive open fields. This careful balance creates opportunities for creative landscaping, allowing greenery to complement the estate’s Mediterranean features. Arcaded walkways, terracotta accents, neutral finishes, and high ceilings define the design language, while intricate moldings highlight the richness of detail. Together, these elements establish a cohesive ambiance that is both stately and serene.
The façades of Hacienda Sta. Barbara were refined through a meticulous study of scale and proportion, resulting in a composition that feels both grand and harmonious. Most of the structures remain one-storey, with the exception of the Ancestral House and Garage/Service building, creating a varied elevation that draws the eye across the estate. With its interplay of architecture and open space, Hacienda Sta. Barbara stands as a modern interpretation of Mediterranean living, reimagined within the context of Iloilo’s cultural and natural landscape.
